Test Engineer
- £40,000 to £45,000
- Hybrid – 2 days per week in a Manchester office (must be based in the UK)
- Permanent
There’s something satisfying about being the last line of defence — the one who spots the thing nobody else noticed.
If that sounds like you, and you get a kick out of making sure things just work, there’s a fast-growing tech business in Manchester that wants to hear from you.
They build digital products that thousands rely on every day. It’s the kind of place where engineers, designers, and product folks genuinely work together - no silos, no finger-pointing, just a shared goal to ship great software. And as they take on new projects, they’re growing their QA function to keep quality at the heart of everything.
Here’s the kind of stuff you’ll be getting stuck into:
- Sitting with devs, testing out new features before they go live (and flagging anything that’s not up to scratch)
- Writing test plans that don’t miss the small stuff
- Getting hands-on with both manual and automated testing
- Keeping an eye on APIs and databases (Postman, SoapUI, SQL — all in the mix)
- Logging bugs clearly and working with the team to get them resolved fast
You’ll need a bit of experience testing both web and mobile platforms, a curious mind, and ideally some familiarity with Selenium and C#. But above all, they’re looking for someone who really cares about quality and takes ownership of their work.
In return? You’ll get:
- A salary up to £45,000
- Hybrid setup (2 days a week in a modern Manchester office)
- Flexitime and a genuinely supportive culture
- Room to grow, learn, and shape how QA is done as they scale
- Projects that have a real-world impact
You won’t be lost in a giant team. You’ll know your work matters — and so will everyone else.
