“One of the UK’s favourites brands. Big tech transformation programme. Real change underway”

Role: Infrastructure Engineer

This is not about keeping legacy systems ticking over. It is about strengthening core infrastructure, tightening security, and rolling out real platform improvements across Microsoft 365, device management, servers, virtualisation and backup.

They need an Infrastructure Engineer who wants to own stability, drive improvements and play a key role in a growing programme of systems upgrades, not just respond when things break.

If you are ready to move out of constant firefighting and into a role where you can actually improve how infrastructure is run, this is exactly that kind of step up.

What you will be doing:

You will own and improve the core infrastructure estate, including:

  • Microsoft 365 and modern workplace services
  • Device management with Intune across Windows, macOS and iOS
  • Windows Server and identity platforms (AD and Entra ID)
  • Virtualisation and backup using Nutanix AHV and Veeam
  • Core networking and end-user services
  • Supporting integrations with wider business systems such as CRM and HR

Alongside BAU, you will:

  • Deliver and support infrastructure and systems projects
  • Own incidents through to root cause, not just resolution
  • Improve documentation, runbooks and knowledge sharing
  • Support better change and governance practices
  • You will operate at 2nd and 3rd line level and take part in an on-call rota (details shared during process).

What they are looking for:

This role suits an Infrastructure Engineer who wants more ownership and impact, not just more tickets. Ideally you will have:

  • Around 5+ years in infrastructure or systems engineering roles
  • Strong Microsoft 365 and modern workplace experience
  • Hands-on Intune and device management across Windows and Apple
  • Experience with Windows Server, AD and Entra ID
  • Exposure to Nutanix, Veeam and core networking
  • Experience working with ITSM tools and technical documentation
  • Awareness of security and compliance in regulated environments
  • Certifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
